Amanda feels privileged to have found the practice of yoga 13 years ago as it helped her cope with anxiety and lack of confidence. Since her first teacher training in 2015, she is keen to make yoga and mindfulness accessible to everyone.Off the mat, she works at a healthcare organisation empowering local communities to keep well. She also helped develop the Corporate Conscience program for The Yoga Foundation in 2016 to provide yoga classes to corporate employees with the revenue funding yoga programs for disadvantaged groups. She has also volunteered at various events including CanTeen’s leadership and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse’s Weekend to Conquer Cancer events.
Amanda’s classes are like a moving meditation, connecting breath with movement. Her clear instructions encourage self awareness and self enquiry into the physical and mental state of being. Amanda hopes to inspire others to integrate the skills learnt on the mat into their everyday lives.
